Introducing Mama Mia! 💕Available for Adoption! 💕

Hi My name is Mia, but my fosters calls me Mama Mia- why you ask? Because I recently had puppies. After my puppies were born I was dumped at a park and left to fend for myself. I was so scared and confused and had an infection, which turned into severe mastitis. I also had a severe eye infection in both of my eyes called Entropion, which causes pain and blindness if not corrected.

Luckily, Maggie Lu’s Safe Haven Rescue took me in to help me get better! I have had two surgeries to fix my eyes (that’s why they are a little unique looking) and I was spayed so I can never have puppies again!

I am loving my new life of being an inside dog! There is nothing I love more than snuggles on a couch with my foster parents. I can barely handle only being next to you as I’d prefer to be on top of you! My foster parents call me a Velcro dog.

I can be a little shy around new people at first, but when I warm up to you, we will besties for life! I’m still learning that most people are good, but I’m getting more and more comfortable with each new person I meet!

I also LOVE other dogs and would really love having a doggy sibling, but I’m also ok being the center of attention too! I am very curious by squirrels on my walks so it’s hard to say if I would be ok with cats, or not.

The vet thinks I am 2 years old & I weigh about 50 lbs. I am crate trained, know sit, walk well on a leash and love car rides!
